Stunned!

Okay, so in general I'm not one for blowing my own trumpet, but I have a big smile on my face because the link for my freebie paper pack in my post yesterday has expired. YouSendIt allows 100 downloads per file, so that means that 100 people liked it enough to download it. Sad (and stunned) woman that I am, that's given me a huge confidence boost, because I fully expected that not many people would download it. Someone asked if I would repost the link, which I did, and so if you missed it first time around you can still get hold of it by clicking the link in my post below this one.

Naturally, when one receives a good ol' confidence boost, celebration by dint of shopping is mandatory ... so I've just treated myself to these little beauties by Amy Teets ... aren't they completely and utterly fabulous? I've seen them on quite a few layouts at DST, and I HAD to have them!

In fact, I liked them so much, that I got the second set too ... they remind me of my youth when those crochet flower throws/shawls were all the rage and the best present you could get was one of those little jigs that you could make the flowers on. Oh yes indeedy, happy days.

At $2.00 each I reckon these should be in every digital scrapper's stash, don't you?? I give you all permission to give yourself a little treat! You'll find them here at Plain Digital Wrapper.

I was rather hoping to find some time to do some scrapping tonight, but time seems to have run away from me again ... I want to have a go at the Butternug Squash August Sketch Challenge - isn't it a great sketch? I've never really worked from sketches that much before, but it's certainly one way to get a layout done quickly without having to agonise over what to put where. I've got some lovely photos of my nephew Cianan that I'm planning to use for that one. I've also got involved in the Challenge With A Twist thread at DST, and I have to do a scraplift of the layout which leapt out at me from the gallery. The layout I chose was a very simple heritage layout by Faded Magnolia, which is in her gallery here at DST - I wish I had even a modicum of her talent! Part of the challenge is that, as well as me scraplifting her layout, she has to scraplift one of mine, and I can only hope that she doesn't look at my gallery and think how very amateurish my layouts are (eek!).

Blimey, the clock really is ticking away - it's nearly 2.00 am. I need to turn this computer off and get myself to bed otherwise I'll be fit for nothing tomorrow - and I have a busy day ahead at work.

Don't forget to leave me a comment to let me know what you think of my paper pack!
