All Shopped Out

I love love love DigiShopTalk - it's so refreshing to find a forum where everyone gets along with everyone else. There's just one big problem. Whilst it's great that all the designers and stores can post freely about sales and special offers and suchlike, it's doing my bank balance no good whatsoever. The thing is, buying a kit here and there might only cost a few dollars, which with the good exchange rate works out very good indeed, but the odd kit 'here and there' is more like the odd kit 'every other day' ... I'm going to have to be very good until I get paid and not look at any more scrummy stash.

One of my very recent purchases, however, was this gorgeous kit by Denise Liemert. Isn't it gorgeous? It's available from Polka Dot Potato, here

I absolutely love the flower doodles - and the papers are such gorgeous rich colours, I just couldn't resist buying it.

So far I've made three layouts using the kit - here's one that I started last night and finished this evening.

I seem to be going through a phase of scrapping the not so nice side of life. The thought behind this layout (although it didn't start out that way) was down to a patient at work today making an uncalled for and totally inappropriate personal comment about me. Because I have a brain the size of a pea I had actually more or less got back to my office before her comment actually sunk in and I realised just how rude and ignorant she was. Stupid though it might be to get upset about a comment made by someone who doesn't know me, I have spent the rest of the day dwelling on it. Anyway, the upshot is that I'm not perfect, and there is no reason why I should feel that I have to conform to anyone else's idea of what I should be, and hence my layout.

I've been really tired this week - I have a few days holiday now from work, so I've spent all this week trying to get as much work done as possible so that I don't leave lots of unfinished stuff. Hence I haven't had time to sit and do any designing, other than a few doodley type bits that I've done with my graphics tablet. Hopefully I will get a chance at some point over the next few days to finish a kit I've been working on, plus I want to make a few minor adjustments to the first two kits I made.
