Exercise Is Good For You, Laziness Is Not
Salvation has come in the form of my friend Jacqui. She joined the gym we go to, and I now have a reason to be motivated and get off my fat arse once in a while. I've been to the gym three times this week now, twice with Jacqui and Seanie, and today just me and Seanie. I am very much one who won't go on any machines that I don't know how to use - and hence despite joining our gym almost a year ago, I've never been on any of the weight machines. Jacqui just dragged me straight in and straight on to them ... and so today we've done a really good workout with lots of weight machines, and so my muscles are feeling nice and tight and that pleasant achey-feeling that you get when you've done a good load of exercise. Long may this continue!
Again, it's been a really busy week again. I've been so knackered when I get home each night that I haven't had the energy to get on with the finishing touches to the lounge. At least Colin has been and picked up the floor, now all we have to do is find the time to set aside a whole day to get it down.
After my scarf-knitting adventures last weekend, I found myself with the urge to knit some socks, so I've spent a pleasant few hours over the last few days knitting socks for Ethan. Well, sock. I haven't finished the first one yet, but hopefully I can get it finished tomorrow, and when I do I will post a piccie.
Time is getting on now, I really should take myself off to bed and rest my tired muscles. Tomorrow is going to be busy again at work, and I need all the stamina I can get!
