Who Invented These Lists?
Ooh, I'm getting so good at tying in my titles with my blog postings ... but it'll probably mean absolutely nothing to you unless you're a fan of Little Man Tate, who are one of the very best new British bands around at the moment.
Anyway, my list ... it didn't get much bigger than the 16 items on it by lunchtime (I was busy, what can I say ...), but it's a start, so without further ado, here do be da listie:
1 Have my own personal photo shoot.
2 Do a digital photography course ... there's always room for improvement!
3 Travel - New Zealand, Australia and Cyprus are at the top of my list, though I can guarantee
that the first place I go will be Germany (cos Col's Dad lives over there).
4 Ride a Vespa scooter (and possibly own one).
5 Learn to play my bass guitar.
6 Learn to play drums.
7 Take up salsa dancing.
8 Take up belly dancing (I could be the next Shakira - NOT!)
9 Get a degree (but in what I have no idea).
10 Own my own digiscrapping website.
11 Learn a new language.
12 Be healthy.
13 Be recognised as a fabulous cook.
14 Be inwardly confident.
15 Qualify as a nail technician.
16 Complete a creative writing course.
17 Make lots of money with very little effort.
18 Get a passport (very necessary if I want to travel!)
19 Drop at least 3 dress sizes.
20 Get a font made out of my handwriting.
Hhhmmm ... nothing very momentous there really, is there? I wonder if that means that I don't really have much in the way of ambition, or if it means that I haven't worked out yet what it is that would really fulfil me?
I was talking to Jacqui via e-mail this morning. She doesn't understand why I would want to have a personal photo shoot. Can you tell she's not a scrapper?! I'm usually the one behind the camera, and I don't have many pictures of myself that I really really like ... I just think it would be really cool to have a bunch of pictures of myself that I can look at and go 'wow! I look really fab in these!' - plus of course the scrapping opportunities would be limitless with some great pics to add to my photostash.
So, my plan ...
Getting my passport, being healthy and dropping several dress sizes are all things that I can work on now. Though I need to either find my birth certificate or get a new one if I'm getting a passport. And I'm going to look into all the other things I want to do.
Okay, so to be honest I don't really have a plan (I've spent half of this evening faffing about trying to pay one of Colin's credit card bills and the other half looking for a picture to use for a CT assignment), but at least I've got a list, and as it's now nearly midnight I am going to retire upstairs to my beddybyes with my laptop (after I empty the washing machine) and do a little bit more surfing/researching and then hopefully my brain will formulate a little plan overnight ... well, we can live in hope.
Speaking of Colin, he's still at work. 3 1/2 hours away. He's supposed to finish at 4.30 pm, but this particular customer asked for him rather than any of the other engineers. He must be exhausted, bearing in mind we didn't go to sleep until around 1.00 am this morning and then he was up at around 6.30 am; at this late hour he won't be able to get a hotel room (all the cheapo Travelodges close their doors at midnight), so he'll either have to try and grab a couple of hours sleep in the van or drive home. I hope he opts for a snooze in the van ... I hate it when he's been working all hours and then does a long journey back home.
