The Daily Drudge

This business of DSS being down while they change servers is seriously doing my head in! I feel like a little lost soul with no home to go to ... so instead I scrapped. Yep, after blogging about my proclivity for procrastination I dug deep down and discovered my Mojo.

This will be my entry for this month's Font Challenge over at DSS. This month's font is Pupcat. I would link to it, but I have no idea where I got it from, I just followed the link from the Challenge Forum at DSS (what can I say, I have blonde hair - albeit pseudoblonde!). I did most of this last night (my usual method of digiscrapping is to just chuck stuff at the page in the hope that I'll like how it looks); but tonight I've totally rewritten the journaling, deleted the title and added a few odds and sods, and now I'm happy with it. Oh, and by the way, that is me, aged about 7, in my funky flowery frockaroonie. God, I was such a trendsetter in those days *mwah hahah ha ha hahahhahahahahhahah*

So it was back to work today ... normally I look forward to going to work, but today I was tired and grumpy and could have done with a few extra hours in bed to catch up on some sleep. I don't know what it is lately, but we seem to be getting more and more patients who just don't think - and then people moan about how hard it is to get an appointment. Well, it wouldn't be so hard if people had half a brain. Case in point - one of our patients who was due to come in for surgery today didn't turn up. No phone call or any contact to say that he wasn't able to make it (and this is after he'd agreed the date when he came to clinic). So, I rang him up at lunchtime to find out what had happened, and it turned out he'd had a little accident yesterday, but he was fine (fine enough to come to the phone to talk to me anyway). I said to him 'did you not think you should ring us up this morning to let us know you weren't coming in?', and he said 'oh, was I supposed to?' ... Erm ... what do you think? I don't have a huge red stamp that I stamp on the bottom of all appointment and admission letters that says 'if you are unable to keep this appointment, please contact me on xxxx xxx xxxx' just for the fun of it. Gggrrr!!!

At least it's quiet at work this week - lots of our doctors are in Florida for the big annual conferencey thing. For me that means that we've got no clinics this week - a very rare treat - so not only will it give me a chance to catch up on all my clinic letter typing, it means that I might even get time to give the office a bit of a (well overdue) springclean too!
