Hormonal Harmony?

Ah, how I wish my hormones were harmonious right now ... sometimes I really really hate being a woman. I have had absolutely horrendous PMT this month, leaving me feeling really depressed and anxious, and I can feel myself losing the plot more with every day.

Yes, it will pass. Soon, hopefully. I just can't seem to concentrate on anything for any length of time, and I'm getting into a muddle at work. I need to focus.

In the meantime, I need to start moving everything out of the lounge again, as the wooden floor is going down on Saturday. Col's knee is still bad, so I have someone coming in to do it for me ... I can't wait until it's finished so that I can start putting my finishing touches in ... and get all the crap moved out of the dining room so that I can start on there next (only painting though, the wallpaper is perfectly sound).

I had Hillarys Blinds come over a couple of weeks ago ... honestly, that company is soooo expensive, and unfortunately I wasn't impressed with their blinds at all. To have nasty, cheapo plasticy blinds for my front window would have cost me about £250. After the salesman left, I did another search online, and I found a company selling wooden venetian blinds directly to the public ... and I can do the whole window for less than half the price of the plasticy rubbish ones - result! So, once the floor is down, I shall get Colin to measure the windows again and get them ordered.

Then all I'll need is a rug (I found a nice one in Au Naturale for just £6! It's chenille AND machine washable, so it'll be perfect), and some pictures on the walls - I've looked at millions of pictures in loads of shops and haven't found anything that really has the 'wow' factor that I want in here. Though, having said that, I did find a gorgeous huge purple toned print in Dunelm Mill last weekend - yes, I know the living room is red/beige/black ... but I am going to order a new bed (that's another story all in itself), and my bedroom is mostly decorated in lilac, so it would look fabulous in there ... see, I'm really getting into this decorating lark!

Okay, this room is not going to empty itself ...
