Healing

My little man is improving. He slept well (I think) on Friday night, and spent most of the day yesterday lying on the couch watching TV. He found it difficult get on and off the couch or move from lying to sitting, so I was his personal slave yesterday. Seanie was off to Solihull with Heather, so we persuaded Ethan that it would do him good to get some fresh air, and we managed to get him in the car without causing him much pain (dressed in his PJs and dressing gown), so that we could pick up Heather and drop them both in Solihull. We stayed in the car in the car park while Sean and Heather ran a couple of errands for me, and Ethan dropped off to sleep for a few minutes. He was very patient, despite the fact I could see he was uncomfortable.

Today is a different story. He slept in our bed last night, and after he'd managed to shimmy himself off the bed to go to the loo this morning, there's been no stopping him. He managed to get his clean boxer shorts on by himself, though I helped him by holding his PJ trousers for him to step in, and he bought his duvet and pillow downstairs by himself. He's been much more his usual gregarious self this morning, and he's just been sitting there singing a song about poo and cheese wee (?!), so I'd say he's feeling a whole lot better today, thankfully. In fact, I've just realised that he could have had his pain meds over half an hour ago, but he's not asked for any, which is definitely good. His wounds are healing nicely, though he still looks very bruised.

I think I need to try and get him out and about a bit over the next few days.
