Thrills
Wow, what a week it's been! First off there has been my extreme excitement about being offered a place on Denise's creative team, then we've just had a great couple of days away in Southport, which is where Colin hails from.
Colin's stepdad has a part-time job at Pleasureland, a huge theme park/fairground just by Southport pier. As a member of staff he is entitled to a certain number of free wristbands (admission to the rides is by wristband) each month, but he managed to wangle enough wristbands for myself and Colin, Sean and Ethan, Colin's Mum, his sister and her four boys. We had an absolutely fabulous day, though I managed to wriggle out of going on too many rides (I admit it, I'm a big wuss).
I thought you might like to see my abject joy at one ride - called the Tagada (whatever that is supposed to mean) - let's just say it was very fast and I felt like my stomach had been left on the other side of the ride ... Ethan loved it though! We finally got home last night just before midnight, and felt totally exhausted. Unfortunately for me, I had to go to work this morning, and I'm still feeling shattered, but at least we get a long weekend with the Bank Holiday, so I can hopefully relax and chill out a bit ... and get lots of scrapping done.
Before we came home, I got a belated birthday present of £20 from Col's Mum ... naturally she already knew that I would want to spend it on digistash ... at the current exchange rate that money is worth about $34 - lots of cool new supplies coming my way then! I'm going to start making myself a little wish list ... but I suspect that I'll be heading straight to Gina Miller's site for some of her fab stuff first of all.
Speaking of Colin's Mum, I got her hooked on paper scrapping back in May, and a short discussion before we left last night has left me with the distinct impression that she might be interested in converting to digital too ... see, where I lead, others follow (hah!)
On that note, time for me to have a quick play with my NEW PSCS2 that I discovered installed on my laptop when I got home tonight (yep, Colin is indeed a huge pain, but every so often he really really redeems himself!)
