Housewifely Adventures

As my family and close friends will tell you, I am not a good housewife by any stretch of the imagination. It's not that I hate housework particularly, it's just that I'm a lazy mare and I'd sooner be playing with my computer than tidying up. So, here we are today on day two of Ethan's first week of school and I am feeling very proud of myself.

My 'time to myself' regime starts now, 10.25 am. After getting home from taking Ethan to school, I have unstacked the dishwasher (which I did last night before I went to bed) and restacked it with another full load (mainly the slow cooker which takes up a lot of room and a load of baking pans that have been soaking), put on a load of washing, tidied the kitchen a bit (it's still a tip due to the fact that it's still not finished ... but it's better than it was), made my sandwiches to take to work for my lunch, sorted out a load of clean washing and put it away and made Ethan's bed, and sorted out some clothes for him to change into when he goes to nursery after school. Then I made a nice cup of Whittards Green Tea (yum), rang my Mum (who definitely agrees that for me to do so many housewifey things in so little time must mean that I am ill), I've just checked my e-mail. Now is time for me. So, in the just under an hour of time that I have before I have to go and pick Ethan up, I'm going to finish this post and then see if I can tease my Mojo out of hiding by starting a new layout.

I wanted to show you these two fabulous new kits that Denise released yesterday, and which can be found in her store at Digitals - firstly, her Extravaganza kit - isn't it gorgeous? It just screams summer pics at me - not that I have loads of summer pics to scrap as I tend to be more of a portrait photographer than anything else, but isn't it gorgeous?

Then there's her luscious
Glamour kit - aren't the colours just mouthwatering? This is going to be so fabulous for grown-up girlie pages. Okay, so now I'm getting really annoyed - Blogger won't let me upload the preview for the Glamour kit - I'll try it later, but you can click the link to go and have a look anyway.

Both of these kits will also be in Denise's store at PolkaDotPotato soon too.

You know what, I am so elated to be on Denise's team - everything she has released recently is superb. I DID apply for Suzy Nunes CT, and as I expected I didn't get picked, which in some ways is a relief because it means I can concentrate my efforts on promoting Denise's gorgeous stuff. I think I need to get myself out of the mindset of feeling that I have to apply for CTs when the designer is someone whose work I really love.

Right, off for a browse through my photos to see what leaps out and screams 'scrap me!'
