Soggy
We had a torrential downpour yesterday ... just as I was on my way to pick Ethan up from school! I was hoping to be able to park outside the shops and nip in to buy an umbrella, but no such luck. I parked in the car park opposite the school, but by the time I'd ran across the road and picked him up I was drenched. Seriously, I had spent half an hour doing my hair and putting on my make-up before I left, and didn't that turn out to be a big waste of my time! My hair was plastered to my head and my mascara was dripping off my chin onto my shirt! I managed to dry off a bit in the car on the way to work after I'd dropped Ethan off at nursery for the afternoon, but as it was still pouring down I got soaked again running from the car park into the building where I work. It took most of the afternoon to dry out (and Sod's law - the rain stopped and the sun came out about half an hour after I got there). Consequently, by the time I got home last night I was feeling chilled to the bone and rather icky. I took myself off to bed as Colin got home, at around 7.00 am, and thankfully I don't feel too bad today other than a nasty bout of sinusitis, which I've had all week anyway.
Needless to say, I headed straight to the shop this morning after dropping Ethan off to get me an umbrella, and I won't get caught out like that again!
Of course, this does all mean that I didn't do any scrapping last night, and I have my entry for Meredith's contest to get finished, plus my week 3 entry for Jen Wilson's Meaning contest. Hopefully I'll be able to crack on with them both when I get home from work tonight, and then I have Denise's two fabulous new kits to play with - whoo-hoo!!
Anyway, I have less than an hour before I have to leave to pick Ethan up, so I'd better get on and get ready.
