Being Productive

Aside from my wibbling about my camera, this has been a productive week.

I got assigned to two designers at DSS this week, and I had both my layouts uploaded before I went to bed last night - that's unheard of for me, I'm usually desperately trying to get my layout uploaded at the last minute on Tuesday nights!

Here's the first - made with Fotosusu's Happy Days kit - I got totally inspired by the name of the kit and decided to use it as my title too. What I really love about digital is that you aren't limited by what size everything is - this fabulous heart shape was a lot smaller than this, and my first thought was to make it look like one of the photos had been pushed through the heart (so half the photo was under the heart, and half on top, if that makes sense), but then I realised that I could encompass both photos underneath if I resized. Yeah! No limits with digi!

Anyway, this was us on a steam train at Telford Steam Railway in August 2005 - it was only a very short ride, about 10 minutes there, and then 10 minutes back, but it was fun, particularly as it was Ethan's first train ride. I quite like the pic of me, particularly cos my chest doesn't look huge!

My second layout was using Helena Monteiro's Happiness kit - I love the colours in this kit, they're so bright, and the papers are quite funky. I realised that the colours in Ethan's t-shirt matched the kit perfectly, and I'd been wanting to scrap one of his trampoline pictures for ages. I used Baby Kruffy for the title, and Black Boys on Mopeds for the journaling, and I'm pleased with how it all looks. And Ethan likes it too, which I suppose is the acid test, isn't it!

Okay, it's time for me to stop procrastinating now - I have plans for some serious clearing out this weekend, and I can only do it if I switch the computer off and walk away ... I am on a mission to be very productive! This week I have quite a few little things that I have been putting off for ever ... like applying for my passport online, sending a couple of letters that I needed to do etc. Right, I'm going!
