Heartstopping Moments

Just recently I've been enjoying just sitting and watching Ethan doing what he does best; being Ethan. I love to watch the look of concentration on his face while he plays - whether it's on the Wii, or with his toy cars, or on his computer. It makes my heart smile to see him just getting on and being Ethan, having fun, doing his own thing. Here he is enjoying his heiBe schokolade (hot chocolate) in Lindau at a cafe in the harbour when we were in Germany a few weeks ago. He's such a funny little thing, always coming out with really random statements that I suppose make lots of sense to him.

Ethan's word of the day is 'bollocks'! Apparently he watched something on the net with Sean (who has been spoken to!) where they said it a couple of times. He crawled into bed with us this morning, and just lying there between us randomly started 'bollocks bollocks bollocks bollocks bollocks bollocks bollocks' ... when we'd finished screaming with laughter (well, WE thought it was really funny) I had to tell him that whilst it was okay to say a word like that at home where there was only Mummy and Daddy to hear him, it really isn't a word that he should repeat anywhere else, and particularly NOT at school. I'm sure he won't let me down. Though, after we'd discussed it, he lay there and went 'who put that light fitting up? Daddy? Bollocks!' Oh he's so funny at times. We decided to treat ourselves to a Macdonald's breakfast this morning, and on the way back in the car he said 'bollocks' again. I said 'oi, I thought I told you not to say it' and he said 'but it's okay Mum, the windows are shut and no-one can hear me' ... I sense trouble looming, honestly, little monkey.

So, if Oma and Opa are reading this (of course you are), don't be surprised if Ethan has a few surprising words to say to you next time he speaks to you on the phone ... oops.
