Woteva!
See this boy here, doesn't he look gentle and good natured? Yep, that's my Sean, 15 years old, normally quiet, gentle, helpful and very loving.Sometimes though, he can be an absolute nightmare. Take yesterday. He's been away for the weekend with his Dad, and on his way home sends a text asking if he can go out with one of his friends when he gets home. My response: no, it'll be dark and I don't want you wandering the streets at night - but you can go out on Saturday instead if you want.
Here ensues a huge argument. He thinks that at 15 he's an adult and can do what he wants. Me thinks that at 15, yes, he's a young man, but he can't do what he wants - it's still my responsibility to ensure that he's safe, and my responsibility to make the rules (oh my God, I sound like my Mother).
'You don't care about me' he says. On the contrary, if I didn't care I would let him do what he wanted.
Gggrrr, he can be soooo aggravating and so stubborn, and I really *don't* know where he gets it from *cough* *cough*.
I got home at 5.30 pm last night, and I didn't see hide nor hair or him until 9.00 pm - I believe he had a snooze during the evening - but when he did surface, he was still a bit sleepy and happy to have lots of cugglysnuggles with his Mum. Now, this is really where he is like me - he might be really cross with me, but he soon forgets about it and things are back to normal again.
Oh, and the title? Well, he's a teenager, naturally his reply to anything he doesn't like is 'woteva!'
