Friday Inspiration - Hot Handywandys

I have never ever knit a pair of gloves in my life (or at least I don't remember ever having done in my previous knitting adventures during my youth). However, these are on my list - Fetching, by Cheryl Niamath.

The word mittens, for me conjures up horrible images. Don't like 'em at all. Don't even like gloves with fingers in ... what I would really like is a pair like this with no fingers to stop my digits from doing what they need to do. Fingerless mittens, or fingerless gloves - call them what you will.

Firstly though, before I knit some for me, I'm going to knit some for someone else, who apparently has very cold hands, and who will hopefully appreciate the gesture. Eek! I've never really cabled before!

Right, it's late and I'm tired, so maybe I will add more to this tomorrow when I've had time to surf more gloveywovey patterns.
