The Daily Grind

So with Christmas and the New Year firmly behind us, it was back to work today. Yuk. Actually, I LIKE going to work; but suffering from lack of sleep (I just could not get to sleep last night) I was tired this morning and could've done with an extra couple of hours in bed. It doesn't help that, with the exception of Christmas Day when I was up at 8.00 am, I've been getting up between 11.00 am and noon. Love a nice, warm cosy bed!

Anyway, thankfully there was nothing in the way of traffic this morning, though no doubt tomorrow will be horrendous as some of the schools go back, so I got to work super-quick. It's been a busy day, and I'm absolutely knackered, but I can't even put my feet up all night ... Colin is demanding that I do some work for him tonight ... yawn ... I just wanna go to bed NOW!

Here's a layout I did the other night. I'm not really into doing Christmas layouts, and probably just a random picture of Eth isn't the best cos the picture itself isn't very Christmassy, but it was taken on Christmas Day so it will have to do.

Papers are from Lyndsay Riches' Joyous Christmas kit, fonts are Black Boys on Mopeds and Fontdinerdotcom. Oh, and I used inked edge brushes from Scrap Girls too.

Didn't do any journaling - for a start I can't remember anything much about the day, and secondly does it really need journaling? I've got to say it though, this has always been one of my very favourite pics of my little man ... he's just soooo very cute here (even if he is the spitting image of Daddy).

Right, off to put the little man in question to bed as he's got to be up early for school in the morning (and he and Sean are currently fighting and driving me mad); then I'm going to carry on with my efforts at mucking out the bedroom - I managed 4 hours yesterday, and although to all intents and purposes it doesn't look like I did much, I did manage to get a load of clothes put away and a lot of stuff out in the bin. Hurrah, getting there albeit slowly, but see - 2nd January and I'm still on track with my resolutions ...
