A Gift From Above

Its when I look at pictures like this one of my two lovely boys that I start to feel sad. It's only a couple of years old ... well, I suppose it's nearer four years old now actually ... but my boys have changed so much. Sean would have been nine when I took this, and Ethan was about 11 months old. Sean now is 13, and he's not the little boy he was when I took this. Ethan is no longer a baby, but an opinionated, gregarious, outspoken, confident child (dunno where he gets it from!) Every day they grow more and get more independent, and I regret more and more the loss of their baby days.

Anyway, this is my effort for the Scripture Challenge over at DigiScrapShak. Yep, you read that right. It's scripture. It has religious connotations, and *I* used it on a layout (let me explain ... if you know much about me you'll know that I'm not at all religious and tend to try and avoid anything connected to religion where and when possible).

One thing I'm pleased with is the brushwork. How lame am I, I'd never actually got to grips with how you get the brush to turn round so that you can stamp it in a different direction! Anyway, I worked it out and then went a bit mad with it.

It's been a busy day here at chez Digipops. I have been through three huge boxes of paperwork in search of stuff relevant to the accounts for the businesses. Unfortunately, because nobody in this house is ever motivated enough to put stuff away properly (me included) business and personal paperwork was all mixed up. I now have a box full of stuff needed for this set of accounts; a box of paperwork relevant to the business but from before this tax period; and a big box of personal papers etc. Oh, and three extremely heavy binbags full of rubbish. It took me most of the day to do it, but I feel better now that it's done. The downside is that tomorrow after work I'm gonna have to get the accounts done. Yuk.

On that note, it's time to get myself off to bed. I'm up early in the morning and I want to try and get through the day without dropping off at my desk!
