A Short Respite

I think I am enjoying a short respite from the demands of everyday life. I should be at work today, but neither of my lovely boys are very well today and have not gone to school - Sean is well capable of looking after himself and his brother, but if they're not well then I wouldn't expect him to struggle with Ethan too; hence I've taken a day off from work to look after them. So I'm sat up in bed typing this (yes, it's past 11.30 am), while Ethan lies snuggled up next to me watching TV. Sean is fast asleep still. I was lucky enough to get a couple of extra hours of sleep this morning once the decision had been made that there would be no school for my boys today. And much needed sleep it was too, I feel absolutely exhausted.

So with a few more hours of potential relaxation ahead of me today, I have made plans. I have a mohair wrap to block and sew buttons on, two knitting projects that I would like to get finished, a pile of washing to sort out, and several Christmas presents to wrap (we are seeing some family members this weekend to carry out our annual January Christmas present swap). All in between running around playing nursey, of course!

And just because, here's a picture of my lovely little monkey on the carousel at the German Market just before Christmas - he's just so damn cute!
